After gratefully leaving school I spent a couple of years nannying in London then America, then did a degree in film studies and cultural studies. Then it was time for the 'real world' and I've discovered that -like many today- I don't 'DO' the real world too well. A stressful (public sector) job led to anxiety and ulcer type problems, leading to debilitating weight gain. The job is now long gone, and the gastric bypass op should help me control my stomach. The rest is now up to me.
